In accordance with the requirements of Natural Gas Price Regulation Ordinance, Bulgargaz EAD, a daughter company of Bulgarian Energy Holding EAD, prepares and introduces to the State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (SEWRC), for each quarter of the year, a proposal for confirmation of natural gas sales price.
Taking into account the factors forming natural gas price level, and the requirements pursuant to the Natural Gas Price Regulation Ordinance, Bulgargaz EAD has filed its proposal to SEWRC to confirm the natural gas sales price for the second quarter of 2012. The price has been formed pursuant to the requirements of Art 17, Paragraph 1 – 6 of the Natural Gas Price Regulation Ordinance, and does not include Bulgargaz EAD’s outstanding revenue from preceding periods.
Bulgargaz EAD proposal, to be confirmed by the SEWRC, for natural gas sales price for the second quarter of 2012 amounts to BGN 780.06 per thousand m3 VAT excluded, i.e. an increase of BGN 159.90 per thousand m3 (25.78 %), in comparison with to price approved by the SEWRC for the first quarter of 2012.
The increase, compared to the valid price, is owing to the higher prices of the alternative to natural gas fuels at the international markets, the higher US dollar/Bulgarian lev exchange rate and the approved by SEWRC sales price for previous period.
